Produce 2 items. Choose your materials, Plan your design on paper if you wish. Learn how to prepare a block, how to shape, stiffen and iron. Introduction to sewing & needle threading how to make a basic mount with feathers or flowers, Take a picture of finished product for portfolio if you wish

How to block Felt or Straw Hat

Create Items of choice. Learn how to prepare the material of your choice, use of T-pins and block how to steam items, smooth, shape, iron, dry, stiffen, design your arrangement find source of inspiration, learn how to use trimmings, Create your own blocked hat, how to make your own pad. How to make flowers, dyeing sinamay & making other style of mounts and take a picture of finished product if you wish

2 SESSIONS ONE DAY COURSE

Cost £420

How to make your own block from foam. How to make a Head Fitting Template. Use your block to make your own creation. How to keep and maintain it. Notes on the subject and other things that you may ask can be emailed to you and some copies provided as well as additional information on Trademark registration and copyright with some helpful links.
